Beggining of December

Ive finished the next part of experimentation and have a small body of images to work from . These are all done in A3 . After looking at these i feel they are too small and would give more of an effect on a much larger scale which is what i will be doing next . There have also been thoughts of using varnishes either mixed in to the paints or brushed over the top to make the colours stand out more .

Refined idea

This is just a quick update of one of my previous ideas refined and complete. Should be seeing more of this image presented in different ways . 

Type project

For one of my other many projects ive been looking at typography and have been asked to choose a word that has a meaning to me and explore it with different fonts and render each font then finally making an artwork based on this. One of my chosen ones fonts is zaphino and i have had a first couple of ideas of blowing one of these drawings up into a big 6ft tall painting or printing it onto a tee . These are just quick ideas and sorry for the quality of the photos .

Sence of place update

 Heres a look at where i am with my printing experiments looking at photos ive taken and printed over them trying to get a feel for which colours best suit this picture . More to come on this picture and others .

DC Pennsylvania trails trip

Update

Alongside the painting and printwork im doing ive seen an album cover which has inspired me from the Brookes Brothers album and am working from photos of places that i have taken in the last month to create my own work and have started my first initial drawings for a graphic based piece which will be ready to go onto photoshop soon . Also i have an image of one of the prints im experimenting with of a local street in town .

Busy week

Its been a pretty preductive week and ive been working on some BIG screen prints which should be revealed soon . Time to go out for a well earnt heavy night .

Big Bad Wolf

November beggins

So i managed to get to london to go on the route i had plan without knowing what i would find . I was pretty shocked as i thought i would have found alot more . The streets were also stupidly clean and only found one bit of maccy ds rubbish . I ended up trying to memorise the map and ended up going completely off route at the beggining and found myself letting my feet take me where they wanted to go ...

Golden arch maze

This weekend ill be heading back up to london to complete the final stages of one of my projects which had do have a design process and a random outcome . Im looking at going on an unplanned journey which can be related to phsycogeography . Iv'e had the idea of using fast food as a base as it seems to flood streets of london and will be documenting any sign of major fast food brands . My route is planned on the famous golden arches of mcdonalds randomly dropped onto a map of london.

October in London

For my newley started project ' Sense of Place ' i have managed to get upto london and take some pictures with my new canon eos aswell as meeting up with a good friend . It was good as a first trip of the new term but i want to build up more pictures of more urban areas , im looking to go down to bristol and ride some skateparks and checkout the areas and well known graffiti it has to offer.Heres a couple of pictures from that day ...

Im a second year visual arts  , graphic design and fine art student also occasionally looking at events management at canterbury christchurch university. My main interests are graphic design , street and urban art and fine art .
