Block colour

Recently myself and a dude called mikey put a lookbook together for a clothing brand called block colour who have just started up within the past year or so . The guy who runs the brand has been working within the fasion industry for the last ten years and wanted to start up something new after an absense of it for a few years after previously having a successful brand. The clothes are a good quality organic material and im liking the general feel of the pieces that are going to be brought out and there all hand made making them slightly individual and limited edition. season

So me and my mates have a bit of a joke when summer is on its way and we like to abuse each other about how we all need to get down the gym and work out , ' Beach season ' as we like to call it. This year i'm taking it a little bit further and making us some beaters , more commonly known as vests for the fast approaching season . I've always liked the design for the Supreme logo and the well known artist sarah lucas's white type on red background ,its very simple , clean and fresh. So heres the first couple of designs for the graphics.

Recently

So its been a while since ive managed to update . Recently ive been continuing with my sence of place project and have done some screen prints on a much larger scale . There currently being shown in an exhibition in folkestone . Theres big plans for this project in the upcoming weeks which will involve concrete moulds of buildings and alot of paint ! I have also been confirmed on a trip to Barcelona in march to exhibit some work so preperation for that has started . Photos are on there way of whats been going on in the next few days so keep a look out . 2012 Starts !

Ive been continuing my type project and have been looking at the word 'Cycle' and what it means to me . I have taken this word out to the place where it means most to me , which is where i learnt most of the stuff i can do now on a bike . This place is now nothing compared to what it used to be and going back there brought back alot of thoughts of the past. These will be going on towards my final piece and ill be editing these when i get back to the studio .

Beggining of December

Ive finished the next part of experimentation and have a small body of images to work from . These are all done in A3 . After looking at these i feel they are too small and would give more of an effect on a much larger scale which is what i will be doing next . There have also been thoughts of using varnishes either mixed in to the paints or brushed over the top to make the colours stand out more .

This is just a quick update of one of my previous ideas refined and complete. Should be seeing more of this image presented in different ways . 

Type project

For one of my other many projects ive been looking at typography and have been asked to choose a word that has a meaning to me and explore it with different fonts and render each font then finally making an artwork based on this. One of my chosen ones fonts is zaphino and i have had a first couple of ideas of blowing one of these drawings up into a big 6ft tall painting or printing it onto a tee . These are just quick ideas and sorry for the quality of the photos .
